Sunday Morning Call and Birthday Blog

It is Sunday and officially my birthday today. Somewhere along the way birthdays just stop being exciting and big events of the year and just become another day. Anyway I am just updating my blogs today then I am going to shut my computer down and leave link building, blogging, forums and all affordable seo word alone.

I have had a good few days and have got a few decent clients on board lately so in many ways that is a nice birthday gift for my business. I have also come to Page 2 on Google for affordable seo and to be honest I am going to lock down Page 1 by the end of the month. Then I will move my attentions to article marketing and I think I will have that keyword locked down perhaps after the new year. I am also ranking on the first page for the term 'seo wiltshire' which is great but I am hoping to get to the top 5 soon, however I have not been putting the effort into that lately.

I need to put some good effort into that and get a Squidoo page, a Hub page and then a good 20 articles submitted and I would like to think I would be seeing a decent ranking. Once I lo0ck both of those 2 terms down I will have a think about what else I want to achieve but I think as long as I do 5 article per keyword each month and go some blogging then I should hold those 2 keywords relatively easily.

In good old fashioned ambitious style my mind has already began thinking about big key terms such as seo services and online marketing where these keywords have something around 40,000 searches each month and online marketing 70,000 searches per month. Anyway I will take my time and lock down affordable seo and then article marketing first and secure some more accounts.

Then I will look at doing a monthly article push for one of the bigger terms and attempt to lock down a big seo term. I am aware that these will take time but if I implement a strategy of 20 articles per month, some blogging when I can, 10 organic links per month and just stick to that over say 6 months, I am sure that I will start closing in on the first page on Google.

Anyways ambition aside everything is going well and I will be starting my new clients seo work tomorrow which is exciting stiff.

Online Marketing Market Development

I have been spending quite a bit of time in the blogosphere contributing and reading articles and I have read quite a few lately on the fact the online marketing is on the rise among high street retailers. More over it seems that this fact is being backed up by more solid figures and data than ever before which is a superb for seo companies.

This increase means that people are going to not only be developing new websites but now looking for quality affordable seo companies to deliver them good online marketing results. So how do we as seo companies capitalise on this I hear you ask? Well simply we need to not neglect our own seo campaigns and keep on developing links, articles, blog comments, directory listings and link bait for our own companies and websites. This is where the retailers are going to be searching and this is where they are going to be doing their business.

I speak to many seo companies and the funny thing is the best seo companies i.e. the ones who are the busiest do not have the time to invest into their own seo strategy or online marketing presence. In many ways they do not need to because they are up to full capacity, however then it comes down to growing your business and that is when you should be taking on new accounts and out sourcing the work to other seo consultants and taking a nice percentage for doing nothing but managing the account and making sure that the correct strategy is being employed. This takes great organisation skills but delegation is essential for business growth.

For J21Media I intend to always have at least 10 articles a month, a daily updated blog each day and some links from directories and forums to keep my online presence growing. I think this can be done quite easily, you just have to go the extra mile but if you are determined to grow your company and its seo rank then it should come quite easily.

Informal Post - It's Friday!

Well like the title suggests this is going to be a nice informal post but we will touch on some seo topics. Just to add I went to my new gym yesterday - the 24 hour gym it is called - and submitted to this new workout programme which involves quite intense weight lifting. I woke up this morning and I literally cannot straighten my arms and my chest is very painful not to mention my calves as well. Needless to say it is days like these I like the fact that I can have a hot coffee and the most active part of my day is making lunch.

Enough about my physical pain and lets get on to how business is going. To sum up I am doing pretty good with some steady orders coming in and also one big account sounds like they will be on board with money paid today/ tomorrow. I am happy with myself for getting 20 articles done all around the key term affordable seo and I have distributed them across 3 article websites so far and 3 other article websites are pending. If I can get 5 good sites for distribution then I will be happy as it gives a nice mix.

Unfortunately I have been cut short because I thought i would have more time this month to produce another 20 articles and target 10 of them on article marketing however by the looks of this big order I might not be able to do that as i want to focus much of my time on making that a success. It will not be easy because in my opinion the customer is trying to spread his budget over to many keywords and that in my opinion is why he is not having great results. I will endeavour to do my best and go the extra mile for the first month and see how I do.

Alas (bit of Old English there) it is time to finish this extremely informal blog post and get cracking on 1 article and some research for the weekend. My birthday is this weekend as well so might be taking the whole day off and that even means no blog postings!

General Ramblings Of A Hard Day

Well it is 7pm and I am officially beat mentally and physically. I have been up since 7am link building for my terms affordable seo and article marketing. Then I went to the gym and was put on a program that I cannot feel my muscles with and so understandably am tired. Also I just finished my last article for tonight and now just need to update this blog and my day is done.

I sent an invoice out today and it is looking pretty good the new design of the invoice in pdf format. I have stopped using word for document because they sometimes do not open on apple macs and so a nice pdf looks nice a professional. Think I could be busy over the next month so that is why I am pushing my articles now as I will not have as much time if I get this big order in. Currently on page 6 for affordable seo and have not even looked at where I am for article marketing. I will try and keep pushing though and make time for my own website because that is what is going to keep the bread on the table. To many seo companies neglect their own seo ranking i think because they just get to busy.

I am going to review some advanced link building techniques so that I am up to date with some better techniques and then I can utilise this in my other day to day activities. Seo is proving to be an exciting mistress and I am happy that I set about this venture. Just need to secure 2 to 3 more regular accounts and I will be financially sweet for the foreseeable six months.

Anyways sorry for the short blog post and the lack of interesting content but I need a shower and some dinner - early night for me because tomorrow we start it all again!

High Authority Links Are Achievable But Difficult

I recently had a look into a website that was ranking on the first page of Google for a competitive keyword but was not in the top 5. The chap asked me to have a look into it to see what I felt was the reasons and what I would do to counter act it and climb the ranks.

It is a very tough call for an affordable seo company like me to make because essentially much of the hard work has been done and completed because they have achieved the 1st Page but then taking them up the final stages is sometimes just as hard as getting to the first page. The key thing to remember here is it possible but you need to be thinking about quality of links and not quantity.

When i did my competitor backlink look up I noticed some pretty great links coming in from some big websites like The Guardian, ESPN and the likes of those which will carry a great amount of authority with them. To be able to increase this position we would need to look at establishing similar authority links as well as trying to acquire links from the same websites. This is not an easy fete and would take a lot of time trying to work out how to achieve it, but it is possible.

Next I would want to start trying to get links from semi popular websites because I also noticed that the websites that were out ranking him had a greater volume of links as well. In my opinion we need to increase link volume and link quality and then in the space of a few months we should see a positive move in the rankings.

Taking on an established company is always tricky because you do not want to be in charge if it drops off Page 1 and take the blame when in reality it is probably more to do with the last seo company removing backlinks because they have changed companies.

Either way high authority backlinks is key to locking down a top 5 position in my opinion.

Becoming a Guest Blogger Has Its Benefits

Blogging is a great way to engage in the web design and seo market by being able to leave comments publicly and also to see what other peoples opinions are on a particular subject or topic. When you post a comment on a blog normally they are nofollow links which is completely understandable otherwise people would be spamming every blog form here to the edge of the world.

Still engaging in the community is a great thing to do and it really is a vital part of being a good seo professional. Also the nofollow links still do carry some weight with them and it has been suggested that a person who regularly engages in many blogs over a long period of time can acquire some good authority from the many nofollow links as it clearly shows he or she is an active member of the online community and is not bothered about just dofollow links.

Anyway this brings me to my point of guest blogging on other web designers or seo consultants blogs or news feeds on their websites. Why I hear you ask? Simply because they know that having their blog updated is a good thing for their website as it fresh content to be crawled. Also updating a blog on a daily basis is time consuming and after a while is a pain to do especially when you are very busy. This form of blog writing is a mutation of article marketing, as you are writing an article for someone else but distributing it on their blog.

The beauty of it really is that the website gets fresh content for free but also your guest blogger will be able to have one anchor text backlink going back to his website for 'payment' for doing a good article post on your blog.

The issue here is it is better if you know the person who wants to guest blog or you have had professional dealings with them before, but I am confident that if you email 20 web small companies who understand good seo, then you should be able to get one or two of them saying yes to you doing a guest blog for them perhaps once a month.

All in all we are after dofollow anchor text back links and what better way than getting a few sneaky links from websites related to seo for free.

The Three Biggest Areas Of Good Seo

Well it has been about three weeks getting on for a month since I have began this quest to learn seo in more depth and to get my website J21Media to start climbing the search engines for that elusive number one spot that every one on Google, Yahoo and Bing want to achieve.

Good seo comes down to a lot of things but one thing for sure is that it can not be easily faked or manipulated which is why you need to be quite skilled in what you do when looking at optimisation. The biggest factor really for any seo company is to keep learning and reading and digesting the new theories and applying them to what you do.

Like I say it early doors for my rankings but I am making exciting progress on affordable seo which I hope to do even better with by pushing article marketing this month. In the short time I have been looking at seo in my opinion good seo is made up of the following 3 areas - do not get me wrong there are many more areas however I think these three are main stream and essential.

1. Link building ethically and organically. There is some big debates over this however I do feel some good quality link building is still vital to success online. Anchor text links do gain good authority and these need to be pursued where ever possible.

2. Good on page seo and this involves basic elements such as good title tags on index page, h1 headers, good original content on the home page, good content throughout website, descriptive urls, good navigation system for robots and an updated blog. These are all simple elements to do but they are definitely essential.

3. Article marketing in my opinion is still a good marketing and seo tool to use as it gets the name out there in an original format and also it gets some anchor text backlinks back to your website. As long as the content is original then i think this will maintain as a good form of seo.

These 3 topics are what I see as important to seo but when the terms get more competitive then you need to start utilising link baits, high authority links, forums, press releases and pretty much anything that can generate more traffic and authority.
