Google Base & Its Benefits

Today I am going to be having a good look at Google Base for one of my clients and this means formatting correct an excel document so that I can upload a big amount of their products onto Google Base so that we can hopefully see a big increase in visitors from that.

The good thing with Google Base that makes it such a cool thing is that it means for certain keywords you can essentially get a top position on Google for free. Formatting the document is not an issue as I have studied it in depth and done a few practice runs before I commit to a big amount of products. What I will say however is that optimising the Google Base document is something that I will have to look at and I think it is done through good descriptions and URLs - which we have both of.

Needless to say this is a big deal especially in the run up to Christmas and if done correctly it could have massive potential traffic increases for my client. I will try and get this done by Wednesday so that it is taken care of and so that we can hopefully start seeing some good results from it.

Google Base is something that can really turn around the seo results that we could get this client in the first month and hopefully make such a big impact that we can secure this client for the foreseeable future.

Guest Blogging Effectively

Hello everyone, today I just want to run over how i think guest blogging should be done so that it is effective and worthwhile for your business. Many people allow you to guest blog in random website all over the Internet however while they are sometimes worth doing so you can get a good anchor text link from them, I feel that you should try and focus on a few well known blogs that are directly related to your market, so that you can get a good following on there and earn some good link juice to.

For example being in the affordable seo services market I have found that I know a good few web companies that all have bogs on their website and for me to request to guest blog for them once a month would be more than welcome. This is a really good relationship to develop as it allow them to get some good content on their website but also I will get a good link back to my own website. So if you can build up a good amount of blogs to be able to get these guest blog slots on then you can definitely get some good links and traffic from them.

Also do not be afraid to let someone guest blog for your won website either because the same thing goes here again. Firstly it allows you to do something else with your time instead of blogging which can be a nice change of pace and also having someone else write a blog post can add a new twist to a topic and make your blog more diverse.

Yahoo Site Explorer Suggests Google Un-indexing Pages

Well I have been keeping a close eye on my website as it is relatively new and so I want to see how Google treats it. I have found it to be quite strange because on one hand Google has allowed me to get some great results on the competitive term 'affordable seo' which I am now on Page 2 for and trying to close a Page 1 top5 5 rank as soon as possible. I am also doing quite well with the term 'seo wiltshire' which I am trying to close to a top 5 page 1 position as well.

Also I have been increasing the number of pages on my website from 5 up to 12 and over the weeks I saw Google begin to index them one by one. However the other day I noticed it go down from 12 to 11 and now 10 indexed pages on Google using the yahoo site explorer tool. I think that I will not take too much notice of this as I can still find the pages on a Google search which suggests that I might just be seeing a slight variation in my statistics and also as my web site is new it is not uncommon for Google to start applying stricter measures to it.

I will be no doubt keeping a close eye and hopefully will not see the amount of pages decreasing as it is quite worrying. I do feel however that I am keeping to close an eye on it all and as a result micro managing data that is more of an estimate than a definite answer.

Work is going well and I am looking at taking my first ecommerce project on which I feel will greatly help the websites seo rankings especially if it is all done correctly.

A Few New Ideas For J21Media

Well this is going to be an informal post mainly because I am really tired and I have a lot of blogging to do today where I have to remain professional and interesting. So being able to blog in a relaxed way is a welcome task. Luckily the weather here is beautiful and there isn't a cloud in the sky, so I must say I am happy as a result of that.

I am doing very well for the key term affordable seo and also for seo wiltshire, which I am looking to lock down to a top 5 Page 1 position by the end of the month. I have also secured some pretty good seo accounts which is keeping me nice and busy with plenty of link building, press releases and article marketing. Ideally I would like to get another 2 or 3 decent sized seo accounts and then I would be quite happy. I think if I can get to Page 1 Pos 5 on Google ready for the new year for affordable seo, I could score some decent business early 2011 as people will be looking to start fresh with their seo strategies.

On the note of Christmas shopping I have been looking around for a football shirt or maybe even a football kit. The Soccerbox is an extremely cool website that I have been looking at and I must say they offer some pretty good prices - might have to buy myself an Arsenal Kit for Christmas.

I also for see my next move being involved in ecommerce solutions and that means ranking for a keyword such as 'ecommerce solutions' which could seem me getting a few decent sized jobs each month and then I obviously have the option of seo to offer as well. I am just running these ideas over in my mind, but I will make my decision in the coming weeks on the next seo move.

Article Marketing Is A Great Seo Assett

I wanted to share a quick blog as to why I think and feel article marketing is a good seo technique and one that I will keep employing for my seo needs and strategy. One of the main reasons I like it is because you actually can offer some useful information to people who are actively researching a subject, and secondly you get topic related anchor text back link to your website which is great.

People talk of this type of marketing to be an area of seo that will eventually perish however I try to not get to wrapped up in that debate because truth is seo will keep changing and that means at some point even link building might not be a necessary seo practise. At this second in time article marketing is a good tool and it is a good way to get a website out into the article directories and also to get solid back links into your website.

I must say though that article marketing in general is not easy to do because it takes a lot of time to create an article that is a decent read, which then takes me on to any companies that do try black hat seo practises do not tend to like to do anything that requires time or effort - they are all about the quick fixes. This says to me that bad seo companies will avoid article writing and marketing because to do it well takes a lot of time and effort.

Anyway many people have conflicting views on a lot of aspects of seo and this is just one of those conflicts explained in a way that does favour article marketing as a good thing. You then also need to think about distributing the articles into many different article directories so that you get a good spread of inbound links and are not just getting all your links from one place such as Go Articles.

Original Content Is King

Well guys and girls, just a quick post on why I think content is king in terms of successful seo. The bottom line is Google is looking for fresh and original content when it is processing its algorithm however as coming up with original quality content is not an easy task and takes some time and hard work, many people choose to try and skip this step and do not put as much emphasis on it as they should and this same point goes for original article writing and marketing.

Any new account that I get I do recommend a blog whether it is on their website or off their website, I always think a good company blog is essential to success. Firstly because it is a great source of inbound links to your website and also to other people websites. Secondly their is a lot of relevant content getting put on a blog especially if it is kept up to date each day. Finally people often search for what we in the seo game call 'long tail keywords' and these can be covered by doing blog posts on quite popular phrases or on various topics.

Take this blog entry that I am putting in now. If I get a few links coming into this particular page then I could end up ranking quite well when someone types in the key phrases, original content is king. Simple.

For my business I have 2 blogs, one is more formal that when I get sometime I will incorporate into my actual website and this blog is a little more informal, where I can write about topics and then go off on a tangent and discuss the fact I am just about to go to the gym (see what I did there).

Anyway if you want to be a success in seo, start at the basics, and get your content original and regularly updated - the google gods will appreciate it and reward you well.

Sunday Morning Call and Birthday Blog

It is Sunday and officially my birthday today. Somewhere along the way birthdays just stop being exciting and big events of the year and just become another day. Anyway I am just updating my blogs today then I am going to shut my computer down and leave link building, blogging, forums and all affordable seo word alone.

I have had a good few days and have got a few decent clients on board lately so in many ways that is a nice birthday gift for my business. I have also come to Page 2 on Google for affordable seo and to be honest I am going to lock down Page 1 by the end of the month. Then I will move my attentions to article marketing and I think I will have that keyword locked down perhaps after the new year. I am also ranking on the first page for the term 'seo wiltshire' which is great but I am hoping to get to the top 5 soon, however I have not been putting the effort into that lately.

I need to put some good effort into that and get a Squidoo page, a Hub page and then a good 20 articles submitted and I would like to think I would be seeing a decent ranking. Once I lo0ck both of those 2 terms down I will have a think about what else I want to achieve but I think as long as I do 5 article per keyword each month and go some blogging then I should hold those 2 keywords relatively easily.

In good old fashioned ambitious style my mind has already began thinking about big key terms such as seo services and online marketing where these keywords have something around 40,000 searches each month and online marketing 70,000 searches per month. Anyway I will take my time and lock down affordable seo and then article marketing first and secure some more accounts.

Then I will look at doing a monthly article push for one of the bigger terms and attempt to lock down a big seo term. I am aware that these will take time but if I implement a strategy of 20 articles per month, some blogging when I can, 10 organic links per month and just stick to that over say 6 months, I am sure that I will start closing in on the first page on Google.

Anyways ambition aside everything is going well and I will be starting my new clients seo work tomorrow which is exciting stiff.
